About the finding of a flag patched in the wall of Habib Riziq's residence in Mecca, al-Shuaibi said Habib Rizieq is not a scary Muslim figure. He streesed that if local law was violated by Habib Rizieq then he would have been sanctioned.

Earlier, Foreign Affairs Ministry explained that Habib Rizieq was questioned after local police received a report from Saudi nationals which claimed to have seen a flag allegedly similar to ISIS flag patched at Habib Rizieq's house in Mecca. The ministry has asked its consulate to give assistance to Habib Rizieq.

Several Indonesian news site reported Habib Rizieq was arrested due to the finding. However, his attorney, Sugito Atmo Prawiro denied the information. In fact, Sugito said Habib Rizieq has filed a police report on the flag case.
